About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional HR Business Partner to be the first hire on our People team. You will partner directly with the senior leadership team to build out and execute on a comprehensive people strategy. You will be able to make an immediate impact through your expertise in talent management and operational effectiveness, all while acting as a steward of OneCare’s culture.

This position reports to OneCare’s Chief Financial Officer and will be based out of our Seattle office (remote through late 2021). Once in-office work resumes, you will be able to work from home one day per week.

What You'll Do

  • Be a trusted advisor to leaders, managers, and individual contributors to help them deliver their best work everyday
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies to improve performance, hiring, leadership, and the overall employee experience
  • Lead performance and rewards planning processes, including periodic reviews of marketplace trends and benchmarking
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; regulations; and recommended best practices
  • See around corners on all HR related issues, including hiring, organizational design, learning & development, and employee relations issues
  • Coach and mentor others, listen effectively, and build rapport with a diverse workforce — helping employees at all levels develop

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of overall HR experience, including 3+ years as an HR Business Partner
  • Must have experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance startup culture (company headcount between 25 – 100)
  • Prior experience at companies operating across multiple states / remote locations required
  • Deep understanding of multiple human resource disciplines, including performance management, compensation, and learning & development
  • Ability to navigate complex conversations compassionately and deliver positive outcomes

About the Role

OneCare is looking for an editorial strategist and leader to help us create best-in-class content for the premium destination in the sleep industry for 20 years, SleepFoundation.org. As Editor-in-Chief you’ll act as a brand ambassador, partnering with organizations and experts in the industry, while also managing the brand narrative and overseeing/steering/leading/guiding the editorial direction and execution for the site.

The brand is ready for its next phase and the Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for that evolution. The right leader will find a way to deliver authoritative, rigorously researched content in an easy-to-read, approachable format for our audiences. Your sleeves will be rolled up to put the audience first and bring the best sleep-based content products to market, working with design, technology, data, marketing and SEO teams.

This position reports to OneCare’s Chief Digital Officer and will be based out of our Seattle office (remote through 2020 and ~2021).

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the Chief Digital Officer and content production teams to oversee the editorial calendar strategy, including developing and executing concepts to support our mission to become the trusted authority in sleep
  • Build and scale an effective (and measurable) partnership/syndication strategy to generate awareness and credibility for the brand
  • Inspire editors and content managers to excel at story structure, source-development, and story selection
  • Anticipate, communicate, and adjust resource needs to serve our audiences
  • Partner with Marketing to drive campaigns
  • Ensure SEO excellence across the site

Front-End Developer

NOTE: To be considered for a remote position, you need to be based in the U.S. at this time.

We need a developer with a solid understanding of modern front end technologies and most importantly, the ability to work as part of a team.

Your primary responsibility will be helping maintain our ecosystem of websites. This involves building pages from scratch based on Illustrator or Sketch designs and making modifications to our WordPress and JAMstack (Jekyll-based) sites.

Your HTML5 & CSS3 skills will shine as you show off optimization and code quality when resolving bugs and issues when they come up. You’ll also work at designing and developing better user experiences and measuring the effect on those through A/B tests.

We practice good coding standards, we build for the future, and we don’t believe in cowboy coding or working in a bubble. We’re looking for thinkers … with talent.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day

  • Writing code with a focus on performance, speedy page load times, improving conversion rates
  • Building sites and implementing redesigns, designed in Illustrator/Sketch, on our WordPress or static-based sites
  • Coding features for our sites (both through WP Themes and not) using HTML5/CSS/PHP/JS
  • Designing and developing better user experiences and measuring the effect on those through A/B tests
  • Future-proofing our sites with maintenance fixes, updating features, and rolling out responsive, mobile-friendly platforms

  • Research online channels for subjects and trending news stories
  • Generate creative ideas to develop as content and pitch to journalists/bloggers

  • Nurture and develop relationships with writers, reporters and web editors

About the Role:

OneCare Media seeks a video generalist to assist the Director of Video Production in the development of engaging, informative product review videos for our portfolio of web sites.

The ideal candidate will be a flexible and creative “Swiss Army knife” of digital video production, with experience in shooting, editing, and motion graphics. Experience in pre-production/production coordination is a plus.

What You'll Do:

  • Produce, shoot and edit video for distribution online
  • Supervise freelance designers, videographers, and editors
  • Assist the Director of Video Production in managing multiple projects in various stages of production
  • Collaborate and consult with OneCare Media team members and others in the execution of video projects
  • Maintain and organize video assets on a server
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
  • Apply a perspective of equity in developing and producing video content, staying current on the evolving ways that content can support and promote diversity, inclusion and equity
  • The direction is received from the Director of Video Production.

What We Are Looking For:

  • An online portfolio of video work (reel) is required at the time of application to be considered.
  • At least two years of professional video production experience.
  • Proven experience in video/multimedia production and best practices.
  • Demonstrated high proficiency with both DSLR and prosumer cinema cameras.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Premiere, After Effects, and Media Encoder.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative team environment as well as independently.
  • Experience with sound recording, mixing and design, color correction, or motion design is a plus.
