Senior Vice President, Technology

OneCare Media is a high-growth, Seattle-based startup that is building the next generation of health media. Our digital brands provide best-in-class services that bridge the gap between information and action across a variety of categories, including sleep, telehealth, and at-home testing.

The Senior Vice President, Technology (SVP) will be a technology leader, leading all areas of company technology including engineering, data and IT. You will lead people, process, deliverables and everything as it relates to scaling the company from a technical standpoint.  As the SVP, you will focus on leading and driving improvement across all technological processes in the company. In this role, you will be a critical component in mentoring team members through both their strengths and weaknesses. This role would preferably be based in the Seattle area and we are open to remote based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set company technical vision in conjunction with the CTO, and develop strategic plans and timelines for development and deployment of all platform/software based systems
  • Plan, implement, and continuously improve capabilities and tool sets to streamline processes and procedures and maximize operational effectiveness; create, propose and roll-out solutions that solve national requirements, generating greater productivity and satisfaction with the platforms
  • Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
  • Monitoring web analytics and making recommendations that align with business goals
  • Establishing software development process and set objectives for the process
  • Establish and supervise workflow of IT department
  • Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
  • Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
  • Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
  • Manage and lead a distributed team


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field; Master’s degree in information technology or a technology-related discipline preferred
  • Ten years’ experience in a software development role, information technology role, or related field; five years in a leadership role
  • Must be able to work with a diverse set of languages, especially PHP and WordPress, databases, cloud infrastructure, and IT management tools
  • Experience managing IT teams including onboarding/offboarding, hardware, ticketing and more
  • Track record of reviewing and implementing security tools, processes and technologies
